Sacramento is stumbling through October with an 0-3 record and a ugly 0-1 mark at Golden 1 Center, making this 10:00 PM EDT preseason tilt a test of whether the Kings can plug a leaky defense that is surrendering 117.3 points per game. Portland comes into town sitting at 1-0 after its opener and stepping on the floor for its first road action at 0-0 Away, though both coaching staffs clearly have defensive shell work on the agenda considering the Trail Blazers are bleeding 118.0 points per contest.
Rotations will get weird in a hurry with critical pieces sidelined on both injury reports. Portland is missing guard Shaedon Sharpe while he recovers from surgery, and Sacramento has its own void in the frontcourt with center Maxime Raynaud out due to a dislocation.
